Bugs are some of the most common animals on Earth because they are so good at adapting to their environment. A bug’s life is short, and only the bugs that are best suited to their surroundings survive long enough to have offspring. These “successful” bugs pass on their traits to their young, so each generation becomes better fit for the environment – in other words, better at staying alive. That’s how evolution happens!
